On the afternoon of October 17, Professor Ren Yong, Dean of the School of  Mathematics and Statistics of Anhui Normal University, was invited by the Research Institute, the Graduate School and the School of Statistics and Applied Mathematics to make a presentation on the theme of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The lecture and the academic report on The Latest Research Progress of  Stochastic Differential Equations was driven by G Brownian Motion. The report was hosted by Professor Zhang Huanming, Dean of the School of Statistics and Applied Mathematics. All the master's tutors and young teachers of the college attended the report.

       Ren Yong combined with his own experience in applying for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, from the perspective of applicants and reviewers, detailed explanations on project selection, research objectives, research content, key scientific issues, research foundations, and research programs. And he conducted an in-depth analysis. He made a wonderful report from the mainstream language issues such as the development of nonlinear expectations and the latest scientific research achievements in a simple and understandable mathematical language.

      Prof. Ren Yong’s report is rich in content and frontiers, especially the fact that the fund application has provided good guidance and help for the majority of young teachers to apply for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The participating teachers are deeply inspired.

      Ren Yong is a professor, doctoral supervisor and dean of the School of Mathematics and Computer Science of Anhui Normal University. He is a leader in both academy and technique in Anhui Province. He is mainly engaged in the research of backward stochastic differential equations and stochastic control. He has conducted research on a number of topics including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Youth Project, the Tianyuan Fund, and the Anhui Outstanding Youth Fund Project. He has published more than 90 research papers in SCI journals and has received the Huo Yingdong Education Foundation Institute Awards for the Young Teachers Award, the Anhui Science and Technology Award, and the Anhui Provincial Teaching Achievement Award.
