Course name: Mathematical Modeling
Course Number: SMJ2232207 Credits: 3
Course Description
Mathematical Modeling is one of professional required courses in mathematics major, which is cultivating students’ ability to solve practical problems with applying mathematical. This is a very technical course, students are required to establish model, solve the problem and test the model by computer. It contains the optimization theory, the differential equation, probability theory and the regression analysis. It is suitable for sophomore of our university. Throughout the course, we will instruct students in ability of abstract thinking and logical reasoning. And it is the antecedent course of other subsequent selective courses.
Course Learning Objectives
The student learning objectives are what student would be able to know and to do on the completion of this course. In details are:
1.Explain the properties of modeling and how to establish modeling.
2.Understand the modeling of differential equation.
3.Master the discrete modeling.
4.Be establishing model and use the standard models to interpret and analysis real problems.
